Welcome to your Earth Element Yoga Practice to Ground and Strengthen. 


For this vinyasa yoga sequence, we’ll work to ground and strengthen with a lower body-focused practice! This class is filled with yoga poses to strengthen your legs such as dynamic chair pose, calf raises, low lunge sequence and strength building exercises. Throughout the practice, you’ll use your roots to ground, strengthen, center and connect to your body, your home. 


This class is the embodiment of the experience that I’m currently having – grounding, rooting, nesting, organizing, cleaning, connecting, strengthening, resting. 


Yes, that was a lot of words, so let’s go into detail.

While COVID has impacted us greatly – we haven’t been able to return to our floating home in New Zealand, having to rent and furnish an apartment last minute and, professionally, having to cancel two sold-out retreats that impacted our community and our revenue – I’m grateful for the process of the pause that’s happened. 


Last week I mentioned how the Fall Equinox is coming up, and using it as a time to turn in, tune in and reconnect to the qualities of earth reflected within us.


Those qualities include strength and resilience, connecting and rooting. 


I’ve been experiencing them during this pause and am looking forward to continuing with them as the seasonal shift occurs. 


Because since leaning into those earth-like, home-like, centering-like feelings…


  • My yoga practice feels like home again – more consistency, more trust, more integrity. 
  • I’m closer to family again after 2 years of being separated. 
  • I’ve come to appreciate easier access to the internet to work on projects, strengthen the JJ team, and clean up some messiness behind the scenes.

I’ve slowed down, embodied my body, and made space both mentally and within my business to reach a new space of clarity. 


This journey started on the mat, building a new consistent yoga practice within all these changes, and learning to trust myself again.


Which brings us back to today’s class, designed to help you tap into this place of pause, strength and grounding. 


Can you allow your practice to come home to your body and ground to the earth? 


Can you allow your practice to help you slowww down a bit? 


Can you allow yourself to feel the qualities of strength and resilience?
