Welcome to your 20 minute morning yoga flow to FEEL POWERFUL. 

 

This is a full body yoga flow designed to help you wake up and start your day from a place of power and purpose! This morning yoga class includes half sun salutation variations, dynamic movement in postures like cat and cow, and is complemented with hip opening postures like lizard and happy baby. This full body workout yoga class is the perfect combination of strength building to wake you up and gentle postures to help you feel calm and centered.

 

Basically, it’s a potent combination to begin your day!

 

Trust me, you’re going to step off the mat feeling like a powerful badass ready to take on your day!

Now let’s be honest yoga fam, I haven’t always been a morning person and am still a work in progress. 

 

By nature I’m a night owl who likes to stay up late, which of course makes me kinda-sorta struggle through my next day (can ya relate?). When I don’t honor a solid night of sleep, I end up stuck in a cycle of waking up tired and feeling disempowered (again, can ya relate?). 

 

It’s not a healthy habit and it definitely doesn’t honor my personal power. 

 

A few months back I committed to creating and sustaining a morning practice – 40 days of meditation to be exact – and the difference in how I felt in my body, mind and soul reminded me just how important breaking the cycle is, because when I do….

 

I feel more aligned in my actions, centered in my power, and able to make better decisions.

 

Personal power is a hallmark quality of a healthy, functioning solar plexus chakra and so honoring it is important work.

When we’re tapped into our personal power, we’re able to ignite and sustain our willpower to “do” with intention, take actions in alignment with our goals and values, and stay rooted in self-worth and confidence. 

 

Which sounds pretty damn awesome right?

 

It’s why I create practices like this morning yoga class — to support you and me off the yoga mat.

 

This yoga class is a great way to wake up, ignite your personal power flame, and begin your day operating from high self-worth, confidence, and a feeling of YES, I CAN DO THIS!

We’ll end the class by setting an intention and this part is super important.

 

What intention can you set that will allow you to tap into your power throughout the day?

 

Setting an intention for your day on the yoga mat is such an effective tool to take your practice off the mat, which is why we’re going to do it (because it builds your yoga toolkit)!
